HISTORY
Horticulture is in my roots as I have been blessed with two grandmothers who were gardening heroes. The gardens of Mien Ruys in Dedemsvaart used to be ‘the zaadveredelaar van der Elst’, my family.
Grandmother Blokdijk’s garden in Laren, was like paradise. And it was in that garden that I at the age of 8, produced my first herbarium book and collected herbs to draw and eat. Had the horticulture market been ready for trends 30 years ago, I may not have chosen fashion as my first career choice. But upon reflection I now have the luxury of having a passion for both.

METHODS
It started with translating knowledge from fashion retail. Through this translation and giving lots of presentations for growers we found ways to connect all marketing aspects in the most effective way. Consumers have the same values and style truth whether they buy fashion, furniture, food or flowers. This connected approach gives more insight in sales opportunities. Since 2006 TRENDLOGIC works together with FLORA HOLLAND on several projects. Connecting companies and end-users is essential. Having a consumer craze and being a board member of Life & Garden I am aware of what’s going on in retail. This love for retail is essential for all TRENDLOGIC clients.
BRAND FOCUS
We develop Connected stories for top growers. After describing their values we visualize their style.
This corporate style is translated in a brandbook, as a guideline. If necessary we work as art-directors for their brand. We manage the process together with the best architects, designers, photographer or stylist for communication print and digital, stands and showrooms.
TRAINING: MARKETING – CONSUMER CONNECTION
Workshops and presentations to develop consciousness about consumer preferences.
TREND ANALYST
Trend lectures, In-Company and on a regular base together with FloraHolland. Development of trend books. Translating time spirit in commercial retail stories for growers, breeders and retailers.


DESIGN MANAGEMENT
Lots of companies in horticulture are aware of the need for connected branding, packaging and labeling. Our independent designers and illustrators work with our methods. TRENDLOGIC is responsable for the art- direction.
BRAINSTORMING
Names, stands, brochures or new packaging, whatever our client needs. We will find creative and commercial solutions that enable them or their products to rise above the crowd.
